If you are experiencing "time out" issues when trying to upgrade your router's firmware using the D-Link Windows upgrade program, a couple of users have reported that if you use the upgrade program's 'Backup' feature before attempting the upgrade, the upgrade will then complete successfully.
If the upgrade does time out, whatever you do, do NOT reboot the router and do NOT turn off the router, but re-try the upgrade until it succeeds.
