Update 28 August 2003
New firmware (version b13) is now available from the D-Link Australia website
to solve various MSN Messenger v6 issues.
The following instructions were, more or less, provided by D-Link Australia Technical Support.
For MSN messenger to work, you need to forward the following ports to your PC:
Additionally, you need to have H.323, PPTP and IPSec enabled under NAT ALGs and all the rest (ICQ and SIP) disabled. UPnP MUST be turned off!
Note: You need a 2.2x version firmware to be able to use the ALGs referred to above.
You can also get MSN Messenger to work with UPnP enabled, but it is not completely reliable. You need to have H.323, PPTP and IPSec enabled under NAT ALGs and all the rest (ICQ and SIP) disabled. UPnP should be enabled. You also must have UPnP support turned on in Windows XP (Add or Remove programs/Add or Remove Windows Components/Network Services/UPnP). You may also need to disable the DNS Relay feature.
Note: You need a 2.2x version firmware to be able to use UPnP and the ALGs referred to above.
