DSL-50X Utility for Linux/FreeBSD
FreeBSD Users: This utility has been tested under FreeBSD v4.8-STABLE (i386), v4.11-STABLE (i386),
v5.2-RELEASE (i386), FreeBSD v6.0-STABLE (i386 and amd64), FreeBSD v6.4-STABLE (i386), FreeBSD v7.2-STABLE (amd64). The only known issues are:
- FreeBSD (i386) v4.8, 4.11: Linux emulation warning message output to console on startup. Harmless.
- FreeBSD (i386) v5.2: None.
- FreeBSD (i386) v6.0, 6.4: Core dumps if the "transfer event log" facility is used.
- FreeBSD (amd64) v6.0: Utility runs, no GUI appears, hogs CPU. Not usable :-(
- FreeBSD (amd64) v7.2: Utility core dumps :-(
Linux Users: This utility has been tested under the folloiwujng Linux distributoons:
- RedHat v7.2 - no known issues;
- Mandrake v10.0 - no known issues;.
- Fedora 9 (kernel - 2.6.27.25-78.2.56.fc9.i686) - the only known issue requires the following tweak:
ln -s /usr/lib/libborqt-6.9.0-qt2.3.so /usr/lib/libborqt-6.9-qt2.3.so for the Borland QT library once
you have installed it from the library archive below.
Downloads
The first Linux/FreeBSD (with Linux emulation) version of the DSL-50X Utility is
v1.2.0. It was released on 5 July 2004.
